Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

Ingredients
These cookies are yummy, easy, and have a special place in my heart. When I was a little girl, I would wait every December for my grandmother’s box of goodies to come to our door. It was always packed full of coffee cans she had saved all year so she could fill them with her Christmas cookies. These Peanut Butter Kisses were my favorite! Now I make them with my granddaughter, Mia. Holiday traditions, the best!
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
Chocolate kisses
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter, peanut butter, sugars, egg and vanilla. Sift together all the dry ingredients and blend into the creamed mixture. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in the granulated sugar. Place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to15 minutes. When you take the cookies from the oven, place a chocolate kiss in the middle of each cookie.
